Without digital management, traditional quality tracing relied on taking photos of cylinder blocks and manually searching paper work orders—resulting in low efficiency and an inability to obtain real-time traceability information.
After fully understanding Dewei’s pain points and operational conditions, relying on the Intelligent Research Institute’s intelligent manufacturing platform, COSMOPlat designed a three-dimensional intelligent manufacturing transformation plan covering four major scenarios:

1. Full-Process Production Traceability
By deploying the self-developed production process quality control software from the Intelligent Research Institute, over 2,300 cylinder blocks produced by Dewei Power since October 2020 have carried exclusive production information—traceable instantly via QR code.
Based on full-process data traceability, COSMOPlat analyzed processing and inspection data to formulate optimization measures, scientifically improving overall product quality and efficiency.
2. Labor Liberation & Efficiency Improvement
After in-depth evaluation of tool distribution and product inspection in the engine cylinder workshop, COSMOPlat deployed an automated production & Sky Eye cluster scheduling solution. It built data models for 8 production scenarios, generating intelligent instructions for AGVs and robotic arms.

Equipment IoT & Digital Process Standards
COSMOPlat digitized the process standards for engine cylinder production and realized real-time monitoring of machine operating parameters via IoT devices. The system automatically alarms and calibrates when parameters deviate from standards.
“Equipment IoT and digital production processes mark the realization of in-process quality control for our cylinder production,” said Pan Hongjun, Production General Manager of Dewei Power.
Currently, more than 80 high-precision machines are fully interconnected. Each operator can control 4–6 machines simultaneously, and the overall yield rate of engine cylinders has increased by 20%.

Previously, safety inspections at Dewei Power relied entirely on manual labor, creating potential risks.
To enhance safety capabilities, COSMOPlat deployed the "Hai An Kong" safety management solution powered by 5G, HD cameras, and AI. The system automatically captures and alarms violations such as workers entering dangerous areas without helmets or protective clothing—greatly improving safety levels and reducing inspection labor.
